a). SPHRi: To be eligible for the SPHRi you must meet one of the following conditions for education and experience:
  • Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position a master’s degree or higher OR
  • Have at least five years of experience in a professional-level HR position a bachelor’s degree, OR
  • Have at least seven years of experience in a professional-level HR position a high school diploma, and
  • Documented knowledge of local employment laws
b). PHRi: To be eligible for the PHRi you must meet one of the following conditions for education and experience:
  • Have at least one year of experience in a professional-level HR position a master’s degree or global equivalent OR
  • Have at least two years of experience in a professional-level HR position a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent OR
  • Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position a high school diploma or global equivalent.

  1. We have a seamless process to help get the best out of your training experience and pass the exam without a hitch.
  2. The process begins with a 5-day in-class training conducted only on weekdays followed by virtual learning support to help round out the learning period.
  3. Join our PHRi or SPHRi Exam Prep class!  In class dialogue will include problem centered discussions, terms & concepts, drills, examples, interactive activities to enhance your learning, time to speak with the instructor and get clarification.

Testing for the SPHRi/ PHRi is available all year-round, subject to availability at the Prometric testing centre of your choice.

  1. Exam time: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  2. Exam length: 105 scored questions (mostly multiple-choice) + 25 pretest questions
  3. Computer-based exam at a Pearson VUE testing centre.
PHRi

  3. Exam length: 145 multiple-choice questions + 25 pretest questions

  • Your SPHRi certification is valid for three years after testing. To maintain your SPHRi credential, you must earn 60 recertification credits over a three-year time span or retake the exam. Of the 60 recertification credits required, 15 must be Business Management & Strategy credits.
  • Your PHRi certification is valid for three years after testing. To maintain your PHRi credential, you must earn 60 recertification credits over the three-year time span or retake the exam.
